Benefits

Insurance Coverage: Full medical insurance coverage is available to employees and their dependents. Coverage includes medical/hospitalization, dental, orthodontics, vision and hearing care, and prescription drugs.

Life Insurance: A base life insurance plan is provided for all employees at Cessna. Optional additional life insurance may also be purchased at very attractive group rates. In addition, employees may select dependent life insurance for spouses and children.

Retirement: Cessna provides all employees with a company-funded pension plan. Additionally, all employees are able to participate in Cessna's 401(k) plan with no waiting period.

Tuition Reimbursement: Regardless of their length of service with the company, all employees are eligible to participate in our tuition reimbursement program. Compensation of fees is, however, contingent upon meeting certain requirements. Annually, reimbursements may not exceed $5,250 for both full-time and part-time employees. Institutions covered include accredited colleges, universities, community colleges and technical schools.

Other Benefits: Vacation pay, sick/personal pay, holiday pay, bereavement leave.

Clubs and organizations

Cessna Employees Flying Club: This organization provides a great opportunity to learn to fly or gain advanced ratings in Cessna aircraft at exceptionally low costs. The club's mission is to promote and encourage private flying by providing economical flying for its members. Employees who hold a current pilot's license may rent single-engine piston aircraft for personal use from the Flying Club.

The Cessna Employees Club (CEC): This group provides social, recreational and sports activities for employees and their families. Discount tickets to movies, theme parks, concerts and theater events are available. Special interest clubs, such as the Motorcycle Club, are also a part of the Employees Club. Additionally, two state-of-the-art exercise facilities are provided. The East facility has basketball and volleyball courts, softball and football fields, a weight and aerobic room and a swimming pool. A golf driving range is also on the grounds. The west location offers a full fitness center including an indoor running track and numerous types of aerobic classes, as well as a swimming pool.

Cessna Credit Union: This full-service financial institution serves all Cessna team members and their families. The Credit Union offers savings and checking accounts, lending, Internet banking, and ATM cards.

Cessna Wellness Program (Plane Healthy): Plane Healthy is Cessna's ongoing effort to educate, engage and empower all employees to take responsibility for their health and well-being. Through simple, rewarding yet fun programs, Plane Healthy seeks to provide the necessary building blocks to effect a culture change and aid employees in living a healthy, happy and full life.

Additional Clubs and Associations: From the Cessna Management Association to the company choir, the ExCitations, Cessna offers a variety of clubs and organizations in which employees and their families may participate.

Engineering

With more than 120,000 aircraft in the field, adding nearly 1,000 a year to this number, the Propeller Product Engineering team supports the largest fleet of propeller-driven aircraft in the world. The team’s responsibilities lie in four major areas: propeller aerodynamics, mechanical design, and certification; piston and turbine aircraft avionics and propulsion upgrades; new product development and certification; and support of current manufacture and field aircraft – some of which are as old as the 1940s.
