Engine

More of everything you need.

Thanks to new Williams FJ44-3A series engines, the CJ3 boasts an extra 920 pounds of takeoff thrust per side and 3,470 pounds greater maximum takeoff weight than the original CitationJet. New fuel-efficient turbofans, at 2,820 pounds (12.54 kN) of thrust each, propel the CJ3 to cruise speeds of 417 knots (772 km/h). Climbing directly to 45,000 feet can now be accomplished in just 27 minutes. And if a long-range trip is in your flight plan, the CJ3 will take you more than 1,875 nautical miles (3,472 km) nonstop with NBAA IFR reserves. And still allow you to make use of runways as short as 3,180 feet (969 m), often saving you even more time by putting you significantly closer to your intended destination.

The CJ3 is the first engine in its class to come standard with the pilot-workload-reducing full-authority digital engine controls (FADEC), the standard for all large, new-generation jets. FADEC simplifies engine control by ensuring proper power output, engine synchronization and maximum fuel efficiency.
